Brand Strategist - Carboneers

About Us

Carboneers is a climate-tech startup dedicated to unlocking the potential of biochar as a scalable solution for carbon removal. We create innovative, decentralized biochar projects in collaboration with rural farming communities in India and Ghana. By converting agricultural biomass waste into biochar, carbon is sequestered for over a thousand years, effects of climate change on farmlands can be mitigated and farmers earn an extra income on top of their usual agricultural activities by the production and sales of carbon sequestration. Three birds with one stone. Although we really do love birds.

During our time in the field, we come across amazing stories of farmers where the application of biochar to the farmlands resulted in higher yields and better livelihoods for their communities. However, we are mainly a team of science and engineering nerds who suck at branding and marketing. Therefore, we are looking for a new team member that can help us turn these stories from the field into materials that can be used to amplify our voice and outreach to the world.

As we scale our impact across global markets, we are looking for a Brand Strategist to shape and amplify our story, strengthen our market presence, and help position Carboneers as a trusted leader in the climate-tech and biochar space.

  • Strong communicator with the ability to inspire diverse stakeholders.
  • You appreciate having lots of freedom in your work but you’re also able to handle it.

What We Offer

  • A chance to play a central role in scaling a mission-driven climate-tech startup.
  • Ownership and creative freedom to shape a globally relevant brand.
