Purpose-Driven Position

We are looking for a Senior Market Development Manager to drive the expansion of low-carbon concrete adoption across our North America region. This is a business development–oriented role focused on influencing upstream decision-making, unlocking new market opportunities, and accelerating commercial adoption with infrastructure owners, regulators, and major construction stakeholders.

This role bridges market development, commercial strategy, and industry influence, working closely with Departments of Transportation (DOTs), large owners, and leading construction and materials organizations. While not a traditional sales role, success will be measured by new business opportunities created, adoption of CarbonCure’s technologies, and sustained growth in customer production volumes.

The ideal candidate will have experience from large construction firms, admixture/materials companies, or heavy civil/infrastructure organizations, who bring strong industry relationships and credibility.

What you’ll be doing

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify, develop, and advance new business opportunities by embedding CarbonCure technologies into major infrastructure and commercial projects.
  • Partner with commercial leaders within DOTs, contractors, and owners to align CarbonCure with project and program-level objectives.
  • Convert early-stage project influence into repeatable, scalable commercial adoption, supporting long-term revenue growth.
  • Support the Sales team by developing qualified demand pipelines and enabling deal acceleration through early-stage engagement.

DOT & Regulatory Engagement

  • Lead engagement and submittals with Departments of Transportation (DOTs), including close collaboration with both technical and commercial decision-makers to secure approvals, specifications, and program-level adoption.
  • Expand the number of jurisdictions approving or standardizing CarbonCure, with a focus on driving commercial-scale deployment across transportation networks.
  • Navigate and influence procurement, funding, and commercialization pathways within DOTs to ensure adoption moves beyond pilot projects into funded programs.
  • Represent CarbonCure as a trusted advisor with regulators, agencies, and policymakers in advancing low-carbon infrastructure solutions.

Demand Creation & Growth

  • Influence architects, engineers, and specifiers to incorporate CarbonCure into project specifications and design standards, ensuring inclusion prior to bid.
  • Build upstream demand with owners, developers, and infrastructure program leaders, particularly in large-scale and mission-critical construction environments.
  • Shape project requirements so CarbonCure becomes a preferred or required solution across portfolios and programs.

Ecosystem & Relationship Leadership

  • Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders across the construction ecosystem, including:
  • Large general contractors and civil contractors
  • Concrete producers and admixture/material suppliers
  • Engineering firms and specification leaders
  • Public-sector infrastructure stakeholders
  • Engage credibly with executives, commercial leads, innovation teams, and technical authorities across these organizations.
  • Leverage existing networks within large construction firms and materials companies to accelerate market penetration.

Internal Collaboration & Long-Term Value

  • Partner closely with Sales to convert market development activities into closed business and long-term partnerships.
  • Align regulatory wins, project influence, and customer engagement with commercial growth strategy and revenue objectives.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to support product positioning, pricing strategy, and go-to-market execution.

What you need to succeed

  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, construction, construction materials, or related industries.
  • Background in business development, commercial leadership, or market development, with a demonstrated ability to generate and advance opportunities.
  • Experience working with or alongside: Departments of Transportation (DOTs) (technical and commercial stakeholders), large construction firms, and admixture, cement, or construction materials companies.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with commercial decision-makers, project sponsors, and program leaders in infrastructure and construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, procurement processes, and specification development.
  • Demonstrated success influencing specifications, standards, or owner requirements and translating these into measurable business outcomes.
  • Technical fluency to engage in discussions around materials, performance, standards, and constructability.
  • Executive presence with strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across industries.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, technical, and executive teams to drive growth.
  • Familiarity with long, complex sales and approval cycles in regulated industries.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically (up to 40%).
