Operations Architect
Job Description
About Carbon Equity
Carbon Equity is a digital wealth platform that seeks to mobilise private capital at a scale of billions to help solve the world’s biggest challenges, starting with climate change. We do so by democratising access to impact driven alternative investments such as venture capital and private equity. Founded in Amsterdam, we combine a strong culture of impact, high performance, and innovation with a deep commitment to building a values-driven organization. As we scale, we are looking for ambitious, mission-aligned talent to help us accelerate the global transition to a net-zero economy.
Purpose of the role
The Operations Architect ensures Carbon Equity can scale fast and effectively. You build the operational backbone that allows every team to work smoothly, reliably, and independently.
This role frees the COO from day-to-day operational problem solving by reducing manual work, tightening workflows, improving data quality, and preventing the organisation from relying on ad hoc guidance or senior intervention.
Role Summary
You design how work flows across Carbon Equity. You improve processes, automate repetitive tasks, clean up data structures, and ensure onboarding, closings, reporting, and compliance run consistently.
You work closely with our in-house Tech team to embed improvements directly into our platform and internal tooling. You translate operational needs into clear product requests, support prioritisation, and help build automation and workflow improvements into our own architecture.
You are not here to run operations. You are here to upgrade them. You collaborate intensively with the Investor Operations, Finance, Legal/Risk, Product/Tech, Investments and People & Culture teams.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Tech team to build more structural workflow improvements directly into our platform and back-office systems.
Success in this role (12 Months)
Carbon Equity is expanding it’s product offering into full wealth proposition within alternative assets while maintaining a lean team. Our ability to scale depends on strong workflows, clean data, and a culture of continuous improvement.
The Operations Architect builds the underlying engine that ensures we can grow quickly, confidently, and sustainably — while enabling leadership to focus on strategic priorities rather than operational fire-fighting.
