Role Purpose
Own the end-to-end management of Carbon Circle's raw material supply chain, ensuring uninterrupted availability of high-quality biomass to the plants while minimizing storage losses and logistics costs.
The role combines procurement coordination, field operations, inventory management, quality preservation and logistics.

Education
- B.Sc. Agriculture
- Agricultural Engineering
Experience : 5–8 years
Experience in one or more of:
- Agricultural procurement
- Commodity supply chain
- Sugar industry
- Grain handling
- Seed companies
- Silage / fodder
- Warehouse operations
- Agri logistics

Working Style
This is not an office role.
Expect to spend most of your time:
- Visiting sugar mills (November – March)
- Inspecting storage yards
- Meeting transporters
- Supervising field operations
- Solving problems on the ground
Key Responsibilities
Raw Material Procurement
- Develop strong working relationships with sugar mills and other feedstock suppliers.
- Plan seasonal procurement across multiple mills.
- Coordinate daily lifting plans with plant requirements.
- Resolve operational issues with supplier teams.
Storage & Quality
- Own all raw material storage yards.
- Ensure proper covering and preservation of stored biomass.
- Minimize deterioration due to rain, air exposure and poor handling.
- Implement storage SOPs and periodic quality inspections.
- Develop better storage methods year after year.
Logistics
- Manage transporters for timely movement from mills to storage yards and plants.
- Optimize fleet utilization and logistics cost.
- Ensure uninterrupted feedstock supply to plant operations.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory across all yards.
- Monitor ageing of stored material.
- Implement FIFO principles wherever applicable.
- Track daily receipts, issues and losses.
Field Operations
- Spend the majority of time at sugar mills, storage yards and plants.
- Build effective relationships with:
- Sugar mill teams
- Transport contractors
- Yard supervisors
- Labour contractors
- Drive execution through influence rather than authority.
Continuous Improvement
- Develop better methods for:
- Storage
- Covering systems
- Yard layout
- Rainwater management
- Handling equipment
- Standardize best practices across all locations.
