Role Description The Marketplace Specialist is a part-time remote role responsible for supporting the development and management of digital marketplaces for carbon capture, storage, and utilization solutions. Day-to-day tasks include researching market trends, mapping demand and supply for low-carbon technologies, and compiling data on potential industry partners and customers. The role involves assisting in the creation of marketplace listings, coordinating with internal teams to maintain accurate product and service information, and monitoring platform performance and user engagement. The Marketplace Specialist will also help prepare market insights, basic reports, and recommendations that inform commercialization strategies and outreach efforts.

Qualifications

  • Experience or strong interest in climate technology, carbon markets, sustainability, or environmental policy.
  • Skills in market research, data collection, and basic analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and stakeholder needs.
  • Comfort working with online platforms, digital tools, and collaborative software to manage marketplace content and workflows.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing marketplace listings, summaries, and internal updates.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Relevant academic background in business, economics, environmental science, engineering, or a related field (students and early-career professionals encouraged to apply).
  • Prior experience in marketplace operations, product catalog management, or technology commercialization is a plus.
