Intro

In this high-impact role, you will work with leading industrial companies to turn climate targets into decisions, and you will see the result twice: in their P&L and in their emissions curve.

At carbmee, we're building the environmental intelligence platform that the world's largest industrial companies use to measure, manage, and reduce their carbon emissions. We work with companies like Schaeffler, ZF, Knorr Bremse. And we're growing fast!

As (Senior) Consultant, Sustainability Advisory, you'll own client engagements from scoping to delivery, help build the pipeline that funds them, and shape how our advisory offering is packaged as the practice grows. You'll have real responsibility from day one, and what you build here will actually matter.

If you're not just looking for your next job, but your next big step, carbmee is the right next step for your career!

We'd love to hear from you.

Your tasks

  • Deliver billable advisory engagements end to end: scoping, hypothesis-driven analysis, quantification, client deliverables and presentation. You'll lead smaller engagements and drive workstreams on larger ones.
  • Shape and grow our advisory pipeline: turn client and software conversations into scoped opportunities, and write the proposals - approach, scope, pricing - that win them, working closely with Sales.
  • Help productise the advisory offering: turn recurring client questions into repeatable, priced packages with clear deliverables, duration and day rates.
  • Act as the sustainability subject matter expert for Sales and the Supplier Engagement team: EU regulation (CBAM, CSRD, EUDR, EU ETS), Scope 3 methodology and decarbonisation levers, supporting deal narratives, workshops and customer sessions.
  • Bridge software and advisory: build advisory work on carbmee's EIS output, feed client needs back into Product, and spot expansion opportunities in accounts.
  • Own the operating discipline for your accounts: time tracking, pipeline hygiene, project margin, and monthly input into the consulting scorecard.

Your profile

  • You've spent 3-6 years in a consulting environment, with sustainability as your core focus, not a side project.
  • You know carbon accounting and decarbonisation (Scope 1/2/3) and EU regulation (CBAM, CSRD, EUDR, EU ETS) well enough to explain their commercial implications to a client.
  • You've owned client-facing workstreams: structuring a problem, quantifying a business case, and presenting it to Head-of or C-level stakeholders.
  • You've contributed to proposals or pitches, not just delivery: you know how a deal gets won, not only how it gets executed.
  • You're at consulting standard in PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Sheets, with a hypothesis-driven storyline and full ownership of your own numbers.
  • You take full ownership. You see something that needs fixing and you fix it.
  • You're humble and direct. You can say "I got this wrong" and move on.
  • You're comfortable with change and ambiguity: you won't get a big-firm ladder or a fixed training curriculum here.
  • Business-fluent English is a must; business-level German is a strong plus, since our advisory client base is predominantly DACH.
