Solar Technician / Assistant Project Manager

Position Overview
We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Solar Technician / Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. This dual-role position provides hands-on experience in the field while offering a pathway into project management. You’ll support solar PV system installations and service work for commercial projects, while also coordinating with project managers and field staff to help keep projects on track. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to grow their career in renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and commission commercial-scale solar PV systems in compliance with design specifications and safety protocols
Assist with project coordination and scheduling alongside the Project Manager
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance
Ensure all installation activities meet quality and compliance standards
Document work completed, materials used, and report any issues or delays
Support subcontractors and team members while promoting a culture of safety and quality
Qualifications
Experience in commercial solar or general construction preferred
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and lifting up to 50 lbs
Basic electrical knowledge and ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings
Familiarity with key solar technologies (SolarEdge, Enphase, CPS, AlsoEnergy, Solectria)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred (not required): NABCEP certification, OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E
Spanish proficiency is a plus
