Position Title: Senior Equipment Supervisor (Mandarin)

Department: Equipment

Reports To: Equipment Manager

Position Summary

The Senior Equipment Supervisor (Mandarin) will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, and implementation of advanced equipment systems that support Canadian Solar’s manufacturing and operational excellence. This role requires both technical expertise and leadership skills, ensuring that equipment solutions meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and efficiency. The Senior Equipment Supervisor will also play a key role in driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, while mentoring and guiding junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for equipment development, testing, and validation.
  • Must speak Mandarin
  • Oversee and review engineering design evaluations to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design definitions, quality specifications, assembly instructions, and equipment standards.
  • Lead the development of innovative equipment solutions to address production and operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, providing technical expertise, support, and direction.
  • Engage with suppliers and external partners, challenging technical proposals and ensuring alignment with company requirements.
  • Supervise equipment projects from concept through validation and final execution, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in equipment automation and process efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Technology, or equivalent related experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment automation, design, and implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in introducing new equipment from concept to production.
  • Background in innovation, research, and development (R&D) preferred.
  • Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
