E-Storage is seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to support its Canada operations within the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) sector. This role focuses on providing expert Environment, Health & Safety guidance across the full lifecycle of BESS projects – from design and construction through to commissioning and operations & maintenance (O&M).

The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of Canada construction health and safety regulations, and practical experience in the renewable energy or BESS sectors. You will support compliance and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance across project sites, with a hands-on approach to risk assessment, method statements (RAMS), site audits, and promoting a positive safety culture.

Working closely with our Project Implementation, Engineering, and Service teams, the EHS Advisor will help ensure E- Storage projects are delivered safely, sustainably, and in full alignment with Canada regulatory requirements and best practice. You will also play a key role in integrating EHS considerations into the development and deployment of our proprietary BESS technology (Solbank).

What You’ll Be Doing as an EHS Advisor

  • Provide EHS advice and support across Canada BESS projects, ensuring compliance with Canada legislation and company standards.

  • Participate in the review and development of Construction Phase Plans, RAMS, and other safety documentation in line with CDM regulations.

  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to reinforce EHS best practices and drive engagement.

  • Support incident investigation and root cause analysis, with a focus on prevention and learning.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed safety into the design, construction, and operation of BESS installations.

  • Promote a strong health and safety culture throughout the organization and supply chain.

  • Proactively recognize and encourage positive workplace EHS practices, and compliance among project personnel and contractors.

  • Support overall EHS program improvement initiatives and contribute to global best practice alignment and implementation.

  • Be willing and able to travel to all sites through the full EMEA region as per business requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned by the management and Director of Quality and EHS

Want to join here is what we are looking For

  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent).

  • knowledge of CDM 2015 and Canada H&S legislation.

  • Experience in energy storage, renewable energy, or construction environments.

  • Experience of performing site audits / assessments of sub-contractors and suppliers.

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to health and safety.
