The Role:

Imagine yourself working for CALSTART as a Lead Project Manager, Workplace #EV Charging. You will play a critical role in leading Charge@Work, the flagship program for our Light-Duty Vehicles Initiative. It will require extensive coordination with internal resources (staff from Marketing & Communications, Clean Fuels & Infrastructure, Validation & Assessment) and external partners (program partners, subcontractors, and employer participants). This role will be remote and report into the Director of Light-Duty Vehicles.

What you will do:

  • Lead implementation of Charge@Work employer recruitment activities, coordinating multiple stakeholders, including Clean Cities coalitions, the Climate Group's EV100 members, and additional networks of sustainable businesses
  • Use data to analyze the effectiveness of our outreach efforts, adjusting strategic and tactical direction as appropriate
  • Execute implementation of a national influence campaign including public endorsements by public officials and convening of campaign events nationally
  • Champion Charge@Work at conferences and webinars and, as needed, to internal management
  • Engage with members and partners (manufacturers, EV charging providers, utilities) to develop strategic partnerships to advance innovative infrastructure and EV adoption strategies and models
  • Manage content creation and operation for the Charge@Work online suite of tools, including the workplace charging resource center, Project Builder portal, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, as well as managing oversight of staff providing direct technical assistance to participating employers
  • Oversee administrative functions including budget management, invoicing, progress updates, ensuring fulfillment of partner scopes of work
  • Typically manages one or more internal resources

What you Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with securing support for sustainability commitments from corporate/business audiences (including internal decision-makers)
  • Experience with engaging elected and public officials to adopt policies or endorse campaigns
  • 5+ years of proficiency in project management or related work (including contracting, management of SOWs setting priorities, budgets and reporting)
  • Knowledge of corporate sustainability (including Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)) activities and networks
  • Experience with using metrics and analytics to assess and report program progress
  • Strong track record of developing trusting relationships externally that lead to strategic partnerships
  • Basic familiarity with electric vehicle and charging technologies

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Master's degree in Business/Engineering/Policy/Public Administration/related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar
  • Experience working with #electricvehicle industry stakeholders (automakers, suppliers, EV charging providers, electric utilities)
  • Experience with staffing an online resource center or managing a Customer Relationship Management platform
  • Familiarity with #EVcharger installation process, including site assessments, permitting, and utility interconnection

CALSTART includes the complete salary range amount ($85,000 to $103,000) of the job level of the job announced. We determine pay based on education, experience, internal equity, and any other factors relevant to the job. Pay for this role will typically be from $85,000 to $93,000.
