The Candidate


As an Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our business operations. Your main focus will be to streamline processes, improve productivity, and drive overall organizational success. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in project coordination, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.


The Role


As an Operations Specialist for trading of physical products, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of trading activities. Your primary focus will be on managing the end-to-end logistics and operational processes related to the physical movement of products, from sourcing to delivery. You will collaborate closely with traders, suppliers, and logistics partners to coordinate shipments, track inventory levels, and optimize supply chain efficiency. Additionally, your expertise in analysing market trends and monitoring product demand will contribute to making informed trading decisions. As a detail-oriented professional, you will be responsible for handling documentation, contracts, and compliance with relevant regulations. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues swiftly will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of the trading process and ensuring customer satisfaction. By effectively managing operational aspects, you will support the success of the trading team and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the organization.


The Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in the field of Operations, in a trading or commodities environment
  • Knowledge of ISCC is advantageous
  • Fluent in English, Dutch proficiency is highly preferred.
  • A strong interest in renewables and energy commodities
  • Ability to work individually.
  • Strong task organizational skills are required.
  • Living and working in/around Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
