Overview of Job Description:
- Managing the safety, efficiency, and quality of all production line operations for BYD at the ADL Falkirk production site.
- You will act as BYD’s on-site contact point, managing relationships with the ADL production site in all aspects, ensure the efficiency of BYD chassis progress through the production site, lead operational readiness and integrity for our contractual commitments with ADL and customers.
- To manage the supply of parts fitted on the production line with ADL is a critical element to this role ensuring vehicles are completed in-line with contractual agreement build timelines.
- You will be responsible for the management and efficiency of the BYD production line engineers ensuring effective communication is relayed to all parties.
- You will be responsible for the stored chassis program on site at Falkirk ensuring readiness for the production line.
- You will need to attend weekly on-site meeting with ADL and will be responsible for distributing updates to the team and circulation of minutes and actions.
- Your agility and flexibility is essential to the team’s effort in creating a consistent working environment.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
- To adhere to all company and site production line rules and regulations.
- To work to the standards and working practices detailed within the company rules and regulations.
- Report any issues or training requirements to your line manager.
- To carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Use all work equipment and PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
- To maintain a smart and tidy appearance, representing BYD values.
Key Accountabilities:
- Appearance and professional etiquette, an ambassador of our company values, demonstrate exemplary standards.
- This will include awareness of service level agreements (SLA) performance measures, protecting schedules and other defined measures.
Knowledge and Experience with a good overview of production management to include:
- City of Guilds of London (Vehicle Building) Not essential
- Good Licentiateship skills
- Good Personal Skills.
- Excel and PowerPoint (essential)
- Being able to find solutions and think outside the box
- Quality management
- Good evaluation in general Engineering
