About the role


We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our team based in BYD UK Office, Hounslow, London area and collaborate directly with BYD HQ. It is a very exciting time to join our expanding product management team function. The position will play an important role in supporting the growth of our recently launched passenger car in the UK market.


Main Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the positioning and launch of relevant BYD models by monitoring the market and developing competitive analyses;
  • Responsible for setting BYD product’s vision and strategic direction;
  • Recommends or contributes information in setting product pricing directly with BYD HQ;
  • Ensure availability and accuracy of all appropriate product data sources (including technical data) and price lists to Retailers, including both internal and customer-facing materials and sources;
  • With a deep awareness of the UK automotive market to regularly assess and report on competitor and new entrant market positioning and activities;
  • Provides ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested by the line manager;
  • Responsible for refining product USP;
  • Support the test drive of marketing activities.


Ideal candidate profile:

  • Preferably 5+ years of Product Management related work experience;
  • Proficient PPT or similar presentation skills;
  • Full UK Driving Licence;
  • Ability to work on own initiative, demonstrating "ownership" while being a team player;
  • Strong organization skills with an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Strong strategic thinking skills while ensuring the operational details are on point;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Numeracy and analytical skills with demonstrable attention to detail;
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint in particular);
  • Demonstrated success in defining and launching products that meet and exceed business objectives;
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority;
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
