Material Control Specialist

SUMMARY

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Material Control:

  • Verify Production order match Engineer Purchase BOM release
  • Periodically Validating inventory (critical material and low stock material)
  • Troubleshoot data issues and ensure PR accuracy, PR/PO qty should cover the full requirement
  • Check weekly China report against project production order for material status
  • Coordinate with procurement (US & China) for BOM materials delivery status and ETA
  • Compile Incoming Material Analysis from various sources for planning and reporting

Material auditing

  • Submit report to Supply chain manager and cost accounting within 1 week after a batch of project move to the next station
  • Follow up with engineer/ planning/MC/warehouse to close the discrepancy for closing the production orders
  • Provide summary and report to management on the issues during auditing and articulate suggestions and solutions to management for continuous improvements

Obsolete material

  • Gather update info from Engineer/ Aftersales/ Production on the obsolete material consumption in Biweekly base and generate report to review. Track and report the improve the process

Warehouse auditing

  • Auditing warehouse inventory monthly, 5% of the total SKU and report the results by last Friday of each month to management team

Material request

  • Send out material request for production to warehouse to withdraw parts base on production team`s requirement.
  • Send out MR for extra parts.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years’ experience in Planning Material Management, Supply Chain or
  • Associate degree and 3 years’ experience in Business Admin, Supply Change, Planning, Material Management or
  • Professional Certification and 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Planning, Material Management
