The Role

As a Surveyor, you will carry out residential property surveys, assessing buildings for Retrofitting , prepare technical reports and support the successful delivery of retrofit projects under SEAI programmes, including the Warmer Homes Scheme and Better Energy Homes.

The role involves a mix of site visits, technical assessment and communication with homeowners, installers and project teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete pre-works residential surveys and property assessments.
  • Assess insulation, heating systems, ventilation and building services.
  • Prepare accurate survey reports and digital records.
  • Carry out post-installation inspections and quality checks.
  • Support SEAI grant compliance and project documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and project stakeholders.

    • Qualifications & Experience

    • Qualification or relevant experience in construction, building services, surveying, energy efficiency or a related discipline.
    • Knowledge of residential construction methods, building fabric, insulation, heating systems and ventilation.
    • Experience working within the retrofit, energy efficiency or construction sector is highly desirable.
    • Familiar with SR54 and Domestic Technical Standards and Specifications.
    • BER Assessor qualification or completion of BER Assessor training with eligibility for SEAI registration is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with SEAI retrofit programmes and residential energy upgrades would be an advantage.
