Business Development Manager - Sustainability
Our client is an established international organisation providing technical, advisory and sustainability solutions to businesses across multiple industries. They are expanding their commercial team in Southeast Asia and are looking for an experienced business development professional to grow their portfolio of decarbonisation and sustainability-related services.
This role focuses on developing new client relationships, identifying commercial opportunities, and working with technical specialists to deliver solutions that help organisations achieve their environmental and sustainability objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drive business growth by identifying and developing new client opportunities across industrial and commercial sectors.
- Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Lead the sales process from prospecting through proposal preparation, commercial negotiation and contract award.
- Develop account growth strategies for existing clients while expanding into new markets.
- Work closely with technical teams to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Monitor market developments, emerging regulations and industry trends to identify new business opportunities.
- Represent the organisation at client meetings, networking events and industry conferences.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and contribute to regional growth targets.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in business development, technical sales or account management within sustainability, energy, engineering, industrial services or consulting.
- Strong understanding of decarbonisation, ESG, carbon reduction initiatives, energy efficiency, renewable energy or related sustainability topics.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and manage complex B2B sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Comfortable working across regional markets and cross-functional teams.
