Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Validation Analyst based in our offices in Haydock, with the potential for hybrid working after 3 months. The Validation Analyst would be working within the Bureau Services team, and responsibilities include;

  • Validate and reconcile data received from DADC’s
  • Validate and reconcile water, gas and electric invoices
  • Be able to create complex billing tariffs
  • Prepare budgeting and accrual reports
  • Deliver ad hoc reports as and when required
  • Ensure bill validation is delivered in accordance with agreed SLA’s and internal KPI’s
  • Collaborate with cross-function teams to resolve data discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on bureau data, reports, billing discrepancies and subsequent resolutions.
  • Provide support to the account management team with specific regard to the bureau activity.
  • Any other related duties
  • The role requires a commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to the Quality Management System, participating in regular training sessions, collaboration with team members to identify areas for improvement and to ensure that any correction actions identified are implemented in a timely manner.


Qualifications/Skills/Experience

  • Competency in using energy and water validation software (e.g. Optima)
  • Proven experience in energy or water invoice validation
  • Experience working within a utility brokerage or consultancy
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good organisational and project management abilities
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, accurately and with attention to detail
  • Technically competent with a good knowledge of Microsoft packages, in particular Excel
  • Confidence in liaising directly with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders
