We are seeking a Climate Justice Fellow to support program development and operations for the Green Careers Accelerator (GCA) program. GCA provides critical on-ramps for underrepresented college students in green careers such as climate tech, decarbonization, and sustainability. You will support the creation of dynamic programming for GCA’s three major areas: career readiness and industry exposure, micro applied learning experiences, and internships.
The position is a 12-month grant-funded opportunity with the possibility of an extension depending on funding.

Areas of Responsibility
- Support the implementation of professional development and experiential learning opportunities for the Green Careers Accelerator program participants
- Liaise with the Yard’s climate and sustainability business tenants and external partners to develop green workshops, panels, CEO lunches, and more
- Support events by developing workshop concepts, coordinating logistics, and assisting with day-of execution
- Collaborate with internal teams to create program materials and distribute across networks for outreach and promotion
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding GCA summer internship program participants
- Support the GCA interns by processing timesheets, scheduling check-ins with host companies, and coordinating professional development activities
- Gather data from follow up surveys and check-ins. Conduct analysis to provide strategic recommendations for program improvement
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of the green industry in fields such as clean energy, sustainability, climate resiliency, or other related areas
- Project management and organizational skills. Experience in program/event planning, execution, and logistics
- Time management skills. Ability to meet project goals and deliverables, prioritize tasks, and identify the next steps needed to drive results
- Interpersonal skills. Can build and maintain relationships with a diverse set of community, business and industry partners, and GCA’s program participants
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable communicating program information clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders in-person, via phone, and email
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
- Experience with database/CRM tools (ie Airtable, Mailchimp, etc) strongly preferred
- Experience with Canva, Adobe, social media marketing, etc. strongly preferred
- Must be willing and able to work some evenings and weekends
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Public Policy or a related field. Will consider candidates who have a mix of relevant experience and coursework
- Must NOT be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program during the fellowship period
