The Opportunity

Our client is the driving force behind the transition of the public sector to a low-carbon economy and are now looking for a Project Manager who is as comfortable with complex project logistics as they are with climate strategy. This is a central coordination role - you will be the go to person, ensuring their network of technical mentors and public sector partners have exactly what they need to succeed.

You will join an innovative team at the heart of national climate policy. About the Role & Responsibilities

This position is the connection between policy and implementation. The role is less about hands-on engineering and more about the management of the frameworks that allow decarbonisation to happen at scale.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Directing a procured panel of energy experts and consultants, ensuring their services are prioritised toward high-impact climate actions.
  • Coordinating the delivery of annual Critical Success Factor reviews and modelling for public bodies.
  • Streamlining and developing standardised support services to help diverse organisations, from hospitals to local authorities, improve energy efficiency.
  • Managing an annual calendar of training events and networking initiatives, including the development of an online community platform.
  • Collaborating with marketing teams to produce webinars and case studies that translate technical progress into shared learning.
  • Oversight of consultancy budgets and the implementation of cost-down strategies across public sector programs.

Requirements and Skills

We need a process-oriented professional who thrives on organisation and can manage multiple moving parts simultaneously.

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree (NFQ Level 7 or greater) in Business, Science, Technology or Building Services.
  • A minimum of three years of directly relevant experience in a related sector or role.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Well-developed IT skills and a proactive approach to achieving results within set milestones.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience within the sustainable energy or building services sector.
  • Familiarity with public sector operations and budgeting.
  • Experience managing diverse project stakeholders and third-party vendors.

Salary:

This role comes with a set annual salary of €52,500 - paid weekly via Brightwater.
