Account Executive – Climate Tech


Remote (U.S.) | $150K–$200K base + uncapped commission + equity (OTE ~$300K+)


About the Role


We’re working with a high-growth, venture-backed climate tech company building software to solve one of the biggest bottlenecks in clean energy: grid interconnection and transmission constraints.


They provide highly technical, ISO-aligned insights that help renewable developers, IPPs, and utilities make faster, lower-risk project decisions.

This is a new business, hunter AE role focused on owning deals end-to-end and selling into technical buyers.


What You’ll Do


  • Own a $2M+ new business quota
  • Run full-cycle sales: prospect → close
  • Target and break into developers, IPPs, and utilities
  • Engage technical stakeholders (interconnection, transmission, development teams)
  • Position a complex product in clear, ROI-driven terms
  • Build pipeline via outbound, events, and relationships
  • Partner with Product/Engineering and help refine GTM


What We’re Looking For


  • 2–7 years in SaaS, energy, or technical salesSaaS, energy, or technical s
  • Experience selling into utilities and/or renewable developers (IPPs)
  • Exposure to interconnection, transmission, or grid infrastructure preferred
  • OR strong track record selling complex technical solutions
  • Proven ability to generate pipeline and close deals ($500K–$2M+)
  • Comfortable in technical conversations with engineers and grid stakeholders
  • Startup mindset: scrappy, curious, and self-directed
