This is an opportunity to combine hands-on project development with team leadership, working alongside an experienced co-lead to scale a growing portfolio of high-impact climate projects.
The Role
As Project Developer Co-Team Lead, you will play a key role in identifying, developing, and implementing biomass-based climate projects from concept through to operation.
You will work closely with project partners, technology providers, engineering teams, and local stakeholders while helping to guide and develop a multidisciplinary project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of biomass, biogas, and biochar projects from feasibility through implementation.
- Identify new project opportunities and evaluate technical, commercial, and environmental viability.
- Build and manage relationships with technology suppliers, engineering partners, developers, and local stakeholders.
- Coordinate complex international projects involving multiple internal and external parties.
- Support the growth and development of the project development team through mentoring and leadership.
- Contribute to the strategic expansion of the organisation's climate project portfolio.
About You
We are looking for candidates who bring:
- 5+ years of project development experience within biomass, biogas, biochar, renewable energy, climate technology, carbon projects, or related sectors.
- Proven experience delivering projects from early-stage development through implementation.
- Strong technical understanding of biomass, biogas, biochar, waste-to-energy, or related technologies.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders across complex project environments.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring, coordinating, or leading teams.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate in dynamic international environments.
- A passion for climate action and sustainable development.
