Brightsmith are pleased to partner with a growing clean energy technology business supporting the transition to renewable energy and electrified heating across Europe. As the business continues to scale, we’re looking for a hands-on Head of Operations to help drive operational performance across its solar PV and heat pump offering.


This is an exciting opportunity for an operations professional with practical experience in the renewable energy sector, who understands the challenges of delivering solar PV and heat pump installations and can build the processes needed to support a growing business.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and improving day-to-day operations across solar PV and heat pump activities.
  • Developing scalable operational processes to support business growth and improve efficiency.
  • Working closely with installers, technical teams, suppliers, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identifying operational challenges and implementing practical solutions to improve performance.
  • Monitoring KPIs, service quality, and operational costs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Building and strengthening relationships across the installation and renewable energy ecosystem.
  • Taking a hands-on approach to resolving operational issues and supporting teams on the ground.
  • Working cross-functionally with commercial, product, and leadership teams to support wider growth plans.


What experience we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in operations within the solar PV, heat pump or wider renewable energy sector.
  • Hands-on experience with solar PV and heat pump installations, delivery or service operations.
  • Experience building and improving operational processes within a growing business.
  • Strong understanding of installer networks, supply chains and project delivery.
  • A practical, problem-solving mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive results.
  • Experience managing external partners, contractors or operational teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in German and English would be advantageous.
