The Role

The Emissions Reporting Analyst will assist with various tasks associated with Local Law submissions in support of LL97 compliance in NY. This role will include supporting client engagement, energy analysis, utility consumption, building science through detailed data review, investigation, client outreach, and reporting, as well as contributing to process and system improvements for the team. This role will report to the Manager of Emissions Reporting.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists in data gathering and processing tasks for LL97 and other emissions reporting projects
  • Understands details and various aspects of emissions reporting and other local laws
  • Supports in creating processes, workflows and execution of the annual emissions reporting submission
  • Investigates and corrects issues with utility data flow into our EnergyScoreCards tool, including testing utility provider logins, reviewing utility bill images, referencing information from SQL queries, and outreach to clients for information
  • Assists with reviews of properties and assembling information for deliverables to clients
  • Organizes and corrects property and project information stored in Salesforce.
  • Organizes and maintains server folders, wiki pages, and resources.
  • Works with clients and utility companies to collect aggregate and whole building data
  • Processes and collects data for existing properties and feeds

Qualifications


Skills

A four year college degree in any discipline (Sustainability, Energy efficiency, Engineering majors preferred)


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking, logic-based reasoning, and problems solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and able to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with, and/or ability to quickly learn Salesforce or other CRM tool, including associations between objects and data design.
  • Interest in learning about data analysis, utility data, and how real estate companies understand and manage energy and water across diverse portfolios.
  • Interest in process improvement, operational optimization, and workflow design.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for sustainability, climate change mitigation, and/or creating healthier buildings.
  • Interest in how real estate companies understand and manage energy and water across diverse portfolios.


Salary Range: $50,000 - $62,500 (The compensation range for this position is contingent upon the state in which the employee resides, and we remain open to considering qualified candidates in remote locations.)
