We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with strong expertise in the energy sector to contribute to strategic initiatives that will shape the future of the Belgian and European energy landscape.

In this role, you will operate in a complex stakeholder environment, collaborating with regulators, distribution system operators (DSOs), external partners, and internal teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of critical projects.


You will act as the main point of contact for strategic programs, ensuring organizational priorities are reflected in implementation roadmaps and driving the successful delivery of shared digital and operational initiatives across the energy ecosystem.


As a Product Owner, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of internal implementation teams, manage dependencies between workstreams, and coordinate with product managers and business stakeholders where necessary. You will also contribute to business architecture discussions, ensuring strategic principles are embedded within future solutions.

In addition, you will support the creation and development of a new organization, contributing to legal, regulatory, financial, and governance workstreams while ensuring compliance with all relevant frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex strategic projects within the energy sector.
  • Coordinate with regulators, DSOs, executive stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Drive alignment and decision-making across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Act as Product Owner for internal implementation and delivery tracks.
  • Manage project dependencies and ensure successful execution of roadmaps.
  • Facilitate executive-level workshops and strategic discussions.
  • Contribute to business architecture and solution design activities.
  • Support the establishment of new organizational structures and governance models.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and financial requirements.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in the energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of transmission and distribution system operations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and energy market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate consensus and drive strategic alignment.
  • Experience acting as a Product Owner or working closely with agile delivery teams.
  • Comfortable operating in rapidly evolving and complex environments.


Language Requirements

  • Professional proficiency in Dutch and/or French, and English.
