Sustainability Manager

Bradnam's Group is seeking an experienced and driven Sustainability Manager to lead and coordinate our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives across Bradnam's Windows & Doors, National Glass and National Aluminium.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the sustainability agenda of a major Australian manufacturing group, influence strategic decision-making, and play a pivotal role in our journey toward Net Zero and industry-leading ESG performance.
About You
You are a proactive sustainability professional who enjoys translating strategy into action and influencing stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Climate Science or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management or climate reporting roles.
- Strong knowledge of climate-related disclosure frameworks, including AASB S2, ISSB, TCFD or similar reporting standards.
- Experience managing sustainability data, emissions accounting and reporting systems.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Exceptional written communication and report-writing capability.
- The ability to influence and build relationships across operational and corporate functions.
- Experience working with government agencies, funding bodies or grant programs will be highly regarded.
- Experience within manufacturing, construction, industrial or supply chain environments will be advantageous.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Chief Risk and Governance Officer (GCRGO), you will be responsible for the ongoing development, implementation and management of the Group's sustainability and ESG framework.
Working closely with operational, finance, procurement and executive teams, you will ensure compliance with emerging sustainability reporting requirements while driving practical initiatives that deliver measurable environmental and social outcomes.
This is a highly visible role where your expertise will directly influence business strategy, stakeholder engagement and long-term organisational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Group's ESG framework, policies and governance structures.
- Coordinate and contribute to the preparation of Sustainability Reports and climate disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with sustainability reporting requirements and support external assurance and audit processes.
- Manage the collection, analysis and reporting of sustainability data, including Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions.
- Develop and implement initiatives focused on emissions reduction, energy efficiency, waste minimisation, recycling, packaging improvements and water management.
- Support the development and implementation of the Group's Climate Transition Plan and Net Zero pathway.
- Build sustainability capability and awareness across the organisation through training, communication and engagement programs.
- Partner with procurement and supply chain teams to identify sustainable materials and supplier solutions.
- Monitor and manage modern slavery obligations and reporting requirements.
- Track sustainability performance through KPIs, dashboards and reporting tools.
- Identify and pursue grants, funding opportunities and sustainability initiatives that deliver business and environmental benefits.
- Coordinate community engagement, volunteering and charitable initiatives that support the Group's social impact objectives.
