Graduate internship: Subsea Cable Caroussels

How you can make your mark

Are you ready to make your mark within the field of renewable energy? During this internship you will work for the offshore energy division. Boskalis has one of the largest global fleets of specialized offshore vessels, allowing us to carry out a broad range of offshore activities. We provide innovative and sustainable all-round solutions to tackle major worldwide maritime challenges. Our Offshore Energy division supports sustainable energy solutions such as wind energy as well as traditional fossil facilities. We are involved in the entire journey from developing and transporting to maintaining and decommissioning these facilities.

Within a vibrant company culture, you will be working as part of a diverse, international team of experts. We offer you the opportunity to realize your full personal potential and expand your professional career by creating new horizons. Together.

To support the development of our carousel handling capabilities, we offer a graduation assignment focused on improving the understanding of loads acting on offshore high‑voltage cable carousels. These carousels store and transport thousands of tonnes of subsea cable, and their safe and efficient operation depends on accurately assessing the loads on the inner core, outer wall, floor structure, and friction interfaces between cable layers. While several theoretical models exist, the offshore industry still lacks validated real‑world measurement data.
