Role Overview

We are looking for a Carbon Accounting & Net Zero Strategy Expert who can drive end-to-end carbon management for clients—from emissions measurement to reduction and offset strategies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in GHG accounting, sustainability frameworks, and decarbonization planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions assessments for clients across industries
• Develop and implement Net Zero / Carbon Neutrality strategies
• Prepare GHG inventories aligned with global standards (GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, etc.)
• Identify emission reduction opportunities and build decarbonization roadmaps
• Support clients in carbon offsetting strategies using carbon credits and I-RECs
• Work on ESG reporting frameworks (BRSR, CDP, SBTi, TCFD, etc.)
• Collaborate with internal tech teams to integrate carbon accounting with BNZ platforms
• Engage with clients to translate sustainability goals into actionable plans
• Stay updated with evolving climate regulations, carbon markets, and methodologies

Key Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in carbon accounting / sustainability consulting
• Strong understanding of GHG Protocol, Net Zero frameworks, and climate policies
• Experience in corporate carbon footprinting and ESG reporting
• Knowledge of carbon markets, carbon credits, and renewable energy certificates (I-RECs)
• Ability to analyze data and translate it into strategic insights
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Experience with sustainability tools/software is a plus

Good to Have

• Exposure to SBTi target setting and validation
• Experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
• Understanding of climate tech / blockchain-based climate solutions
• Prior experience in consulting or working with multiple sectors
