Deployment Strategist
About the Role:
I am looking for a commercially minded and technically capable Deployment Strategist to join a growing technology services business supporting the renewable energy sector. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, technology implementation and customer delivery, helping renewable energy organisations identify opportunities to optimise operations, improve efficiency and unlock value through innovative technology solutions.
Working closely with clients, technical teams and senior stakeholders, you will translate complex business challenges into practical, scalable solutions. From identifying operational bottlenecks to overseeing the implementation of AI-driven workflows and digital tools, you will play a key role in ensuring that technology delivers measurable business outcomes.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines strong consulting and stakeholder management skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and technology deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement & Discovery: Work directly with renewable energy clients to understand their operational challenges, business objectives and technology requirements.
- Strategic Solution Design: Identify opportunities to improve business performance through AI, automation, data-driven decision-making and digital transformation.
- Deployment & Implementation: Translate client requirements into actionable deployment plans, working alongside engineering and technical teams to implement tailored solutions.
- Renewable Energy Expertise: Develop an understanding of energy-sector workflows, including renewable asset management, energy forecasting, grid optimisation, maintenance and operational efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions are commercially relevant and technically feasible.
- Project Ownership: Manage deployments from initial discovery through implementation, testing, adoption and ongoing optimisation.
- Change Management: Support client teams in adopting new technologies, redesigning workflows and embedding solutions into day-to-day operations.
- Performance Measurement: Define success metrics, monitor solution performance and demonstrate measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, productivity or operational output.
- Continuous Improvement: Gather client feedback, identify further opportunities and refine deployed solutions to maximise long-term value.
Requirements:
- Experience in management consulting, technology consulting, digital transformation, solution delivery or a comparable client-facing role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex business challenges into practical solutions.
- Experience working directly with clients and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
- Understanding of technology implementation, business process optimisation, automation, data analytics or AI-enabled solutions.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and implementation plans.
- A commercially minded approach, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes rather than simply recommending strategies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Professional fluency in English; German language skills are highly desirable for working with clients in the DACH region.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience within renewable energy, utilities, energy trading, power generation or the broader energy transition ecosystem.
- Familiarity with solar, wind, battery storage, energy management systems or electricity markets.
- Experience deploying AI solutions, large language models, agentic workflows or intelligent automation in enterprise environments.
- Experience working with engineering teams to deliver bespoke technology solutions.
- Exposure to operational data, forecasting, predictive maintenance or asset optimisation.
What They Offer:
- The opportunity to shape and deliver innovative technology solutions within the renewable energy sector.
- Direct exposure to senior client stakeholders and strategically important transformation initiatives.
- A hands-on role with ownership across the full deployment lifecycle.
- Close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams spanning strategy, engineering and technology.
- The opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation of an industry critical to the global energy transition.
- A collaborative, entrepreneurial working environment based in Munich.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic problem-solver who can move comfortably between business strategy and technical execution. They enjoy working directly with clients, understanding complex operational challenges and collaborating with engineers to turn ideas into functioning solutions.
Rather than focusing solely on recommendations or project coordination, they take ownership of getting solutions implemented, adopted and delivering tangible value.
If you are passionate about combining technology, client delivery and the energy transition, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
