Our client, a national real-estate developer and property operator, is investing heavily in best-in-class building operations across its healthcare and Class A commercial portfolio. They are hiring a hands-on Building Operations Engineer to keep critical environments running flawlessly, from high-acuity clinical suites to flagship corporate offices. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for a multi-site portfolio of medical and office properties.
Triage and resolve service requests in real time, prioritizing clinical uptime, energy efficiency, and occupant satisfaction.
Prepare facilities for life-safety, environmental, and healthcare compliance audits, maintaining readiness for Joint Commission and similar standards.
Direct third-party contractors, ensuring safe work practices, quality workmanship, and minimal disruption to daily operations.
2+ years of experience maintaining commercial or institutional facilities (hospital, research, or Class A office strongly preferred).
~ High-school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree in a building-trades field a plus.
~ Working knowledge of BAS/BMS platforms, chillers, boilers, air-handling equipment, life-safety systems, and energy-management best practices.
~ Current local or state operating licenses or the ability to obtain them (e.g., Proficiency with basic computer applications, CMMS software, and mobile work-order systems.
~ Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 100 lbs, work from ladders, and perform tasks indoors and outdoors in all weather.
Progress into lead engineer or facilities manager roles as the portfolio expands.
