Blue Power Partners provides market-leading support in developinglarge-scale renewable energy projects. We work across the sector with a range of developers and technology companies to manage, oversee and optimize development and construction optimization of onshore wind, solar, pumped hydroelectric, battery and hydrogen projects.

The Role

The Project Director will oversee all aspects of construction projects on behalf of the client, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and to sufficient quality standards. This role will oversee various stakeholders involved in the construction process, including contractors, engineers and regulatory authorities. You will be accountable for full end to end project delivery operating via a strategic lens driving commercial outcomes. Previous experience reporting to boards will be essential in this role.


Strong project planning experience with developing comprehensive project schedules, timelines, budgets and the ability to allocate adequate resources is essential. A sound knowledge of identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on projects as well as maintaining comprehensive risk registers including contingency plans is required.


Due to the nature of this role, our ideal candidate will be someone with significant experience delivering large scale renewable energy projects or transmission electrical systems projects with vales in excess of $200 million on the client side.


About You


  • Qualification in either Project Management, Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • 15 years’ experience in the project management and/or construction of power generating facilities and/or transmission/electrical systems
  • Strong contract management ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Proven quality assurance background establishing and upholding quality and safety standards for construction work, ensuring adherence to specifications and regulations
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite applications and utilising project management software packages/tools
  • Collaborative and engaging working style with excellent communication and interpersonal skills including delegation, consultation and facilitating teamwork
