We are looking for a Manager, Business Intelligence to join our team in San Jose, CA. This role reports to the Director, Business Intelligence & Proposal Management.
Role Summary
Bloom Energy seeks a strategic and data-driven Manager of Business Intelligence to lead market and competitive intelligence efforts that support executive decision-making and commercial strategy. This role will deliver high-impact insights, support strategic planning, and build scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on competitors, technologies, and market dynamics across core and emerging geographies.
- Deliver monthly market watch insights, customer briefing documents, and executive-ready materials.
- Support strategic deliverables including Board materials and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Lead market sizing and forecasting using scenario-based modeling across segments and geographies.
- Build robust Excel-based models to support strategic decisions and pricing guidance.
- Track market fundamentals around gas and electricity prices in key markets and incorporate insights into strategic deliverables and pricing guidance.
- Build and maintain a centralized market intelligence database with vetted sources, automated data pulls, and defined update cycles.
- Socialize and iterate the database architecture with internal stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor a small team, fostering ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of insights aligned with editorial calendars and strategic priorities.
- Partner with Sales, Strategy, Policy, and Enablement teams to align intelligence efforts with business goals.
- Contribute to competitive positioning, objection handling, and market outlooks for target geographies.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- 5 years of experience in the energy industry with understanding of key technologies, market dynamics, and policy frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Excel modeling; familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, especially in executive settings.

The total compensation for this position includes standard company benefits and is based on factors including relevant skills and experience. Salary ranges: $112,400.00 - $168,600.00.
