We are looking for an OMM Technician to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Manager and is based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.
The Operations Materials Management technician (OMM) is responsible for Oracle transactions, preparing kits for assembly, operations materials management, materials inventory, and manage the daily operation planning and shipping.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Verifying incoming materials and shipments and update Oracle database.
- Identify stacks for binning & kitting and all rework columns.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancy in physical & Oracle database/system.
- Complete daily transaction logs and all required pass down reports.
- Perform Oracle transactions and WO (work order).
- Prioritize work by interacting with area leader (Lead/Supervisors/Manager).
- Assist in development of manufacturing procedures to create the most efficient processes.
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees in OMM team.
- Responsible for quality control with zero discrepancy or error on the kits or columns.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) Receive, open and inspect all incoming packaged materials.
- Closely supervised but is able to make decisions on assignments based on current workloads.
- Follows guidelines established for department operations and knows when to elevate problems to supervisor.
Education & Experience:
- Ability to work independently and work well under deadline and pressure.
- High School degree required, Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds required.
- Knowledge of Shipping/Receiving process and procedures and environment.
- Good communication, Team-Building and good interacting skill with operation team.
- Demonstrates good skills in the use of computerized spreadsheets, database, email and word processing programs. Strong in excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Customs/Import/Export regulations and documentation.
- Two or more years' experience in Planning and production environment.
- Experience with Oracle database utilizing inventory, receiving & cycle count modules is a plus.
