Senior Sustainability Advisor:


Purpose of role:


The Senior Sustainability Advisor plays a critical role in advancing Blackmores Group’s sustainability commitments as a B Corp Certified business. This includes supporting our Net Zero by 2030 pathway, driving initiatives to become Nature Positive, ensuring zero exploitation within our supply chain, and improving our sustainable packaging footprint. The role is central to embedding sustainability into business practices and ensuring alignment with our long-term environmental and social impact objectives.


This position is responsible for leading key sustainability initiatives, supporting governance frameworks, and furthering sustainability reporting and communications. The advisor will work collaboratively across the business to drive continuous improvement, influence decision-making, and deliver measurable progress against our sustainability strategy, ensuring Blackmores remains a leader in environmental and social responsibility.


This role reports to our Head of Sustainability and will be working in either of our NSW worksites – Warriewood (preferred) or Surry Hills (but required to work from Warriewood at least one day a week) at least 3 days per week and working from home 2 days per week.


Responsibilities include:


  • Shape the Future of Sustainability: Drive the implementation of Blackmores’ ambitious sustainability strategy, embedding ESG principles into projects, procurement, and decision-making across the business.
  • Lead Impactful Initiatives: Take ownership of critical programs such as B Corp re-certification, contribute to building our carbon inventory (including Scope 3), and circular economy projects that move us closer to Net Zero by 2030.
  • Champion Transparency & Accountability: Deliver high-quality sustainability reporting, support the assurance process, ensuring data integrity and alignment with global standards.
  • Influence & Inspire Change: Engage stakeholders across a complex global supply chain (with in-country manufacturing) and internal teams to foster a culture of sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive Innovation in Challenging Environments: Identify creative, compliant solutions for circularity and climate action within regulated medicines manufacturing, balancing impact with operational realities.


Who are you?


  • Relevant tertiary qualification in sustainability, environmental science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sustainability roles.
  • Experienced in sustainability reporting frameworks (eg TCFD, GRI), assurance processes, and managing data accuracy across multiple regions.
  • Strong communication skills, stakeholder and project management skills dealing with varied cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and embed sustainability in a business undergoing significant transformation.
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting and circular economy principles.
