Sustainability Analyst (Japanese Speaking)
We are hiring entry-level, Japanese-speaking Sustainability Analysts to join our consulting team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates and post-graduates who want to build strong, practical skills and a long-term career in sustainability consulting. You will work on real client projects from day one, contribute to professional deliverables, and learn directly from experienced practitioners.
Responsibilities
• Support sustainability consulting engagements across reporting, climate and carbon management, sustainability ratings, and assurance
• Coordinate various sustainability projects for clients in Japan
• Research sustainability standards, regulations, and best practices
• Collect, validate, and analyse data for client disclosures and assessments
• Draft sections of sustainability reports, presentations, and client materials
• Support project coordination, quality reviews, and timelines
• Collaborate with team members across projects and geographies
Requirements
We are looking for motivated candidates with strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Japanese language (speaking and writing) proficiency to support our Japanese customers.
• Strong interest in sustainability, climate change, or corporate responsibility
• Good research, analytical, and writing skills
• Ability to structure information clearly and communicate insights through written and presentation materials
• Attention to detail and comfort working with structured data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Comfortable using digital tools; familiarity with responsible use of AI is an advantage; programming skills will be an added advantage
• Comfort working with numbers; basic statistical or data modelling skills are an advantage
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
• Willingness to work with clients and teams across different time zones when required
• Prior internships or academic projects in sustainability are a plus, but not essential
