CALL FOR COLLABORATORS: SARGASSUM SCIENTISTS, RESEARCHERS AND REGIONAL ADVISORS

BioEnergy Development Inc. is assembling a multidisciplinary advisory group to support the development of an integrated strategy for addressing the growing impact of sargassum across Florida, Mexico, the Caribbean, and the wider Atlantic region.

We are seeking a highly published academic, senior scientist, or research team with recognized expertise in areas such as:

• Sargassum formation, ocean migration, forecasting, and coastal arrival patterns

• Satellite monitoring, oceanography, marine ecology, and environmental modeling

• Environmental and economic impacts on beaches, tourism, fisheries, and coastal communities

• At-sea containment, collection, harvesting, and transportation systems

• Sargassum composition, seasonal variability, contamination, and safe processing

• Government policy, permitting, environmental regulation, and regional cooperation

BioEnergy Development is developing a deployment model that combines offshore and nearshore sargassum recovery with modular onshore bioreactor systems. The objective is to convert collected biomass into useful products, including renewable baseload power, biochar, carbon-rich soil amendments, and potentially other recoverable materials.

The selected advisor or collaborating team would help BioEnergy Development:

• Identify the regions experiencing the greatest current and projected sargassum impact

• Evaluate monitoring and forecasting systems to support deployment planning

• Advise on responsible at-sea and nearshore harvesting strategies

• Assess environmental risks, collection timing, logistics, and biomass handling

• Recommend locations for modular bioreactor deployment

• Help develop pilot projects with governments, universities, ports, resorts, coastal communities, and environmental organizations

• Support the creation of a scientifically credible regional development roadmap

We are particularly interested in individuals who have established working relationships with government agencies, universities, environmental authorities, regional organizations, and community stakeholders throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, Florida, and other heavily affected jurisdictions.

This opportunity may be structured as a scientific advisory role, consulting engagement, research collaboration, strategic partnership, or participation in a broader international consortium.
