Role Description Partners are the driving force behind the company’s business development and its first line of sales. At Biochar FR, s.he will help shape the company’s strategic direction, build and maintain key stakeholder relationships, and identify opportunities for growth in biochar and related sustainability markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing partnerships, overseeing business development initiatives, contributing to investment and project decisions, and supporting operational and commercial planning. The Partner will collaborate with technical, financial, and operations teams to ensure projects are viable, compliant, and aligned with long-term environmental and business objectives. This role involves regular in-person meetings, networking, and representation of the company at industry events and with public and private sector stakeholders.

We are looking for a true entrepreneur, someone who understands that at this stage, every partner is essentially the company's first salesperson.

Qualifications

  • Talent and/or experience in business development or partnership management in environmental, agricultural, or sustainability-focused sectors.
  • Background in project management, with the ability to evaluate opportunities and drive execution.
  • Strong financial literacy, including skills in budgeting, forecasting, and assessing investment or project viability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to represent the company in external forums.
  • Knowledge of biochar, circular economy, climate tech, or related environmental technologies is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-evolving context.
  • Master’s degree in business, environmental science, engineering, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • French is the professional language at Biochar FR.
