Job Summary:
1. Job Summary-Energy Reporting — Program Manager
Cleint Energy and Sustainability organization drives the company's clean energy strategy and the reporting that underpins Client's Net Zero commitments. The Clean and Renewable Energy (CaRE) team is hiring a Program Manager on a contingent, limited-term basis. During this period, this role serves as the day-to-day owner and coordinator for Client energy activity data — the Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 energy datasets that feed the company's greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, emissions forecasting, and voluntary and regulatory disclosures. This is a hands-on, data-centric role: it requires 3-5 years of experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, direct experience working with large datasets and running or QC'ing analytics, and the ability to communicate data status and insights to technical and non-technical audiences. This individual must have familiarity with corporate GHG accounting and be comfortable with query tools and data QA/validation workflows. This is a full-time, limited-term position.
2. Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the day-to-day owner for Client's energy activity data across Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 electricity (e.g., FERA, construction energy, network-related electricity, and operational electricity, diesel, natural gas, etc ), from data collection and QA/QC through to the reporting handoff to the Net Zero team
Perform analyses on Client's Environmental Attribute Certificate (EAC) portfolio and support the development of internal systems to advance portfolio management and modeling.
Run and maintain the recurring data collection, QA/QC, and validation cadence (e.g, quarterly data pulls, follow-ups, YoY analysis) and keeping reporting and analysis on schedule
Perform and QC data pulls from Client's energy data systems, investigate anomalies and data-pipeline issues, and reconcile discrepancies
Coordinate data and process flows across cross-functional partners to maintain accurate and complete inputs from source through to reporting
Support the emissions forecasting cadence as the energy-data point of contact for the Net Zero team, providing and QA'ing the activity data behind regulatory and internal cross-functional forecasts
Develop and maintain program-management artifacts — trackers, roadmaps, status reports, and executive-ready updates — for recurring leadership and cross-functional forums
Support a quarterly reporting cadence (execution updates, exec meeting prep, deck and dashboard creation) using established templates and inputs
Support external assurance and audit activities (e.g., methodology walkthroughs with Client's assurance provider) and preparing and validating data and documentation as requested
Triage and respond to incoming energy-data and analytical requests; track progress against internal KPIs and stakeholder expectations
Maintain and improve reporting documentation — the what, when, where, how, and why of energy data collection, including team-specific nuances and process flows
3. Minimum Qualifications
BA or BS degree in physical sciences, engineering, math, statistics, accounting, business, environment, and/or a sustainability-focused field
3-5 years of experience in program management, data operations, or analytics coordination, ideally supporting technical or data-oriented teams
Direct, hands-on experience working with large datasets — collecting, QA/QC'ing, reconciling, and analyzing data from multiple sources
Familiarity with corporate GHG emissions accounting concepts (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and the activity data that underpins an emissions inventory
Exceptional project-management skills with a demonstrated ability to self-manage complex, data-driven delivery in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting data and insights to technical and non-technical audiences and creating graphics for leadership presentations
High-level proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel — advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts — plus slide/deck creation
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data work, even under tight deadlines
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and comfort with ambiguity
4. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with a scripting/query language (e.g., SQL, Python) sufficient to run, automate, or QA data pulls from large data warehouses (e.g., Hive/Presto or equivalent)
Experience building visualizations and dashboards from large, multi-source datasets, particularly with Tableau and Excel
Familiarity with energy/utility data (electricity, natural gas, diesel, and other fuels) and metering/billing data structures
Strong understanding of current practices and trends in greenhouse gas emissions and broader sustainability accounting and reporting
Familiarity with external reporting standards and platforms such as GHGP, CDP, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, SASB, CSRD, etc.
Experience supporting external assurance or audit processes
Experience working within large, matrixed organizations and coordinating across cross-functional partners
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day execution of multiple sustainability workstreams, including GHG inventory, emissions forecasting, measurement, and supplier emissions.
- Develop and maintain program plans, project trackers, roadmaps, status reports, and executive-ready presentations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of sustainability initiatives and reporting milestones.
- Facilitate recurring meetings by preparing agendas, documenting key decisions, tracking action items, and following through to completion.
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles by consolidating updates, preparing leadership presentations, and maintaining reporting templates.
- Coordinate data collection and process flows across multiple stakeholders to support sustainability reporting and disclosures.
- Assist with research requests, data analysis, and ad hoc reporting to support business priorities.
- Monitor program progress, identify risks and dependencies, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Perform data validation, quality assurance, and lightweight data analysis to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making.
- Present program updates, metrics, and analytical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, business operations, or technical program coordination.
- Strong understanding of corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions.
- Experience supporting emissions forecasting, sustainability reporting, or climate data management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, charts, and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level presentations and reports.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks such as CDP, GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB, or similar standards.
- Experience using business intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python for data extraction, analysis, or quality assurance.
- Experience working with large datasets, sustainability metrics, and environmental reporting.
- Experience collaborating within large, matrixed organizations and partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with supplier emissions, carbon accounting, life cycle assessment (LCA), or product carbon footprint methodologies is a plus.
