Job Role:
BayWa r.e. Americas is seeking a Procurement Analyst Intern to join our Procurement team for Summer 2026.
This role supports the development and management of budget, forecasting, and equipment proposal tools across BayWa's project portfolio through all stages of project development. The Analyst will support in equipment supply contract management efforts and coordination across multiple teams to successfully execute on equipment supply agreements. The Analyst will report to the Sr. Manager, Procurement where they will be developing and building out Policy, Safe Harbor, and QA tracker tools impacting equipment procurement. They will manage a 3rd party to support development of key exhibit templates for Battery Energy Storage System contracts.
Responsibilities we will trust you with:
Success in this role involves:
- Gathering market intelligence, determines market cost drivers and factors affecting those drivers and translating those into forecast models
- Integrating forecast data into company estimation and purchasing processes
- Working within job costing and accounting system to update owner furnished equipment project budget and contracts
- Performing detailed cost analysis to identify trends and avoid variance through proactive change management
- Support in the development and management of a QA/QC program for owner procured equipment
Job Requirements
- The expectation is this is a "Hybrid" role where office presence in Denver is at least 3 times/week This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring an on-site presence in our Denver office at least three (3) days per week.
- Availability to work a full-time hourly schedule; up to forty (40) hours per week from June-August 2026.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
The ideal candidate demonstrates:
- An MBA or Graduate Student or at least a Junior Undergraduate (21+ years old) B.A. / B.S. in engineering, supply chain management, data science, construction management, and/or similar degree
- Interest in Renewable Energy Development
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including writing functions and organizing data with MS Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Ability to manage communications with external counterparties
- Critical Thinking and Data Visualization skills
- Ability to synthesize and analyze data and communicate back to stakeholders
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
