PURPOSE

The Supply Chain Due Diligence Associate Manager plays a crucial role in fostering sustainable business practices and mitigating supplier-related risks. This position focuses on addressing supplier diversity, environmental and social responsibilities, as well as concerns like supplier bribery, corruption, solvency, and data security. This role supports Bayer’s vision of "Health for all, Hunger for none" through leading strategic projects, conducting processes, engaging stakeholders and data-driven insights.

Your Tasks & Responsabilities

  • Sustainability & Risk Projects:
    • Drive change and lead global projects in strategic areas like Supplier Diversity, Decarbonization, Responsible Procurement, Human Rights, and Supplier risks.
  • Data, Tools and Reporting:
    • Perform spend analysis, data mining, and generate reports to inform decision-making and external reporting.
    • Develop data strategies to increase transparency utilizing Power BI dashboards.
    • Define, track and report progress on sustainability objectives and KPIs.
    • Lead the development, usage and maintenance of digital platforms for risk and sustainability management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Training:
    • Build relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
    • Empower procurement community with training on tools and processes.
    • Represent Bayer at conferences and events (e.g. NGOs like WeConnect).
  • Risk Assessment and Management:
    • Accountability for the identification, assessment and mitigation of risks in the supply chain.
    • Facilitate supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with standards.
    • Engage with suppliers to improve ESG performance.
Who You Are

  • Degree in related fields (science, engineering, supply chain management, business management) and 3+ years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience in procurement and sustainability or risk management is an advantage.
  • Passion for Sustainability, Diversity or Risk.
  • Experience in leading projects and defining strategies.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex topics to the organization and management.
  • Proficiency in data handling, modeling and visualization using tools like Excel and Power BI.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
