ABOUT THE ROLE:
Are you passionate about sustainability and delivering high-quality services for the community? We are seeking a Waste Management Program & Contract Oversight Officer to oversee major waste management initiatives and the day-to-day management of key contracts.
This role plays an important part in delivering waste infrastructure and services, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with relevant regulations while contributing to improved environmental outcomes and a cleaner, more sustainable community.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong management and contract oversight experience.
- Hands-on experience in the waste management industry, with a solid understanding of its challenges, opportunities, and best practices.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders, contractors, and the community.
- Possess tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, contract management, or a relevant field, along with broad experience across operational and managerial functions, preferably within waste management or related industry sectors.
- A robust understanding of waste management issues and contract management within an environmentally sensitive context.
- Demonstrated expertise in overseeing multi-million-dollar capital worksprograms and contracts management within waste management industry (preferred)
