We’re seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual, on a part-time basis. who wants to be part of this journey and contribute fresh energy and ideas.


With your positive attitude and strong communication skills, you’ll build strong rapport with residents and local businesses, offering guidance and support to help them adopt more sustainable lifestyles and working practices.


Our Green Team was one of the first of its kind to be created by a council and this is a rare opportunity to join a dedicated team of specialists making a real difference to tackle the climate and ecological emergency.


What You’ll Do

You’ll be at the heart of our sustainability work, helping turning plans into action and contributing to the council and borough’s climate targets. Expect to:

  • Engage with the community by visiting homes, local businesses and attending events to promote our services and proactively engage with the public. This includes giving presentations to local community groups.
  • Undertake home energy and wildlife garden surveys (training provided) to help residents save money, reduce energy use and support local biodiversity through tailored advice.
  • Support businesses to complete free sustainability audits focused on reducing energy consumption, cutting waste, choosing greener products, and improving sustainable travel.
