Project Manager
Project Development
- Lead the development of RE projects from concept through commercial operation.
- Identify and evaluate potential project sites.
- Coordinate technical, environmental, social, legal, and financial due diligence activities.
- Manage feasibility studies, resource assessments, and project design activities.
- Oversee land acquisition and right-of-way negotiations.
- Coordinate interconnection and grid connection applications.
- Manage permitting and licensing requirements with national and local government agencies.
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Establish project milestones and monitor progress against targets.
- Coordinate internal teams and external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Manage engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities.
- Monitor project costs and implement cost-control measures.
- Ensure projects are completed within approved schedules and budgets.
Stakeholder and Government Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, local government units, host communities, landowners, indigenous peoples, utilities, and other stakeholders.
- Support community engagement and social acceptance programs.
- Coordinate public consultations and stakeholder meetings.
- Address project-related concerns and disputes in a timely manner.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, permits, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor requirements from agencies such as the Department of Energy, Department of
- Environment and Natural Resources, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, local government units, and other regulatory bodies.
- Ensure environmental and social safeguards are implemented throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support compliance reporting and audits.
Contract and Commercial Management
- Manage EPC, O&M, consulting, land lease, and supply contracts.
- Participate in commercial negotiations with contractors and suppliers.
- Monitor contractor performance and contractual compliance.
- Support project financing, investment reviews, and lender due diligence activities.
Risk Management
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage land, permitting, environmental, technical, financial, and stakeholder-related risks.
- Escalate critical issues and recommend corrective actions
Construction and Commissioning Oversight
- Monitor construction progress and quality standards.
- Coordinate commissioning and testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Support project handover to operations and maintenance teams.
Reporting
- Prepare project status reports for senior management, investors, lenders, and project partners.
- Present project performance, risks, budget status, and key milestones.
- Maintain project documentation and records.
II. Technical and Functional Competencies
Strong knowledge of:
- RE technologies (solar, wind, BESS, hydro, geothermal).
- Project development processes.
- Land acquisition and right-of-way management.
- Environmental and social impact assessment requirements.
- Grid interconnection processes.
- Power purchase agreements (PPAs).
- Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracting.
- Financial modeling and project economics.
- Risk management principles.
- ESG and sustainability requirements.
Project Management
- Strong scheduling and budget management skills.
- Experience using project management tools such as: o Microsoft Project o Primavera P6
- Knowledge of project controls and reporting systems.
Commercial and Financial
- Understanding of project finance structures.
- Ability to evaluate project economics and investment decisions.
- Experience managing procurement and contract negotiations
- Education and Work Experience Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Energy, Environmental, or related field).
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Project Management, RE, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Electrical Engineer (REE), or equivalent professional license is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of project management experience.
- At least 3–5 years of RE project development experience.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
