Finance Manager - Start Up

Barden has partnered with a start-up in the renewable energy sector on a newly-created Finance Manager role.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will play a critical role in supporting financial control, strategic decision-making, and commercial analysis. You’ll work closely with the CFO and senior leadership to ensure financial control and support investment decisions in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and board packs
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the business
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions
• Partner with operations, engineering, and commercial teams to assess project viability and monitor performance
• Support fundraising efforts, including investor reporting and financial due diligence
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements
• Implement and improve financial systems, controls, and reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5+ years’ experience in finance
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
