Outside Sales Representative

Compensation

Average Annual Earnings: $100,000+ This is a commission-based role with uncapped earning potential. The average annual income for performing representatives exceeds $100,000.

Job Summary

Bakersfield Solar Pros is seeking a motivated and driven Sales Representative to join our expanding team. This role is focused on new business development and driving revenue growth through strategic outside sales initiatives in the residential solar market.

Crucially, prior sales or solar experience is not required. We provide comprehensive training to individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and the commitment necessary to excel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to identify and secure new clients within assigned territories.
  • Conduct proactive lead generation, cold calling, and direct sales activities to expand market share.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and effectively close deals while ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to accurately track sales activities, manage customer data, and forecast performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company products, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Manage client accounts post-sale through effective account management and relationship building.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • No Prior Experience Required: Comprehensive training is provided.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, discipline, and commitment to achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to initiating new business and closing sales.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for territory management.

Desired Qualifications (A Plus, But Not Required):

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or technical sales.
  • Proficiency in analytical skills for evaluating market data and customer needs.
