Job Title: Product Manager

Location: Oakland, CA/Hybrid

Duration: 6 Months

Pay: $110 per hour

Amplify is an Innovation Accelerator venture in the accelerate stage, dedicated to helping customers go electric by creating a new kind of customer experience.


Position Summary

  • Own the end-to-end customer experience from “EV-curious” to “confident EV owner.”
  • Develop product requirements, design user experiences, orchestrate pilots and demonstrations, and manage full product delivery for customer-facing offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with technology, operations, and external partners to deliver seamless, innovative solutions that accelerate electrification.
  • Work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment moving quickly from idea to implementation while building toward enterprise scale.
  • Hybrid position: Remote office and assigned work location based on business needs, with travel to customer and partner sites as needed.
  • Reports to the Amplify General Manager.


Job Responsibilities

  • Develop product requirements and user experience for the full customer-facing product, ensuring a customer-first approach.
  • Drive alignment and build partnerships across internal teams for a unified customer electrification vision and roadmap.
  • Translate and connect strategic objectives into tangible product deliverables and positioning.
  • Stand up and run all customer-facing pilots and demonstrations, including defining go-to-market strategy and tactics.
  • Interface with Amplify Technology Lead on prototyping, development, and production engineering.
  • Determine build vs. partner strategy for Amplify components.
  • Build partnerships with automotive OEMs and others as needed.
  • Map Amplify customer data journey, defining data collection, flow, and enablement within customer and data privacy policy.
  • Orchestrate multiple customer touchpoints (AI chat, home assessment, contractor dispatch, etc.) ensuring seamless experience and information continuity.
  • Lead monthly operating reviews with key internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct additional customer research as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6 years of experience in product management, preferably in B2C environments.
  • Successful launch, commercialization, and scale of service-oriented consumer product(s).
  • Expertise in service design and user experience.
  • Highly adept at understanding customer behavior and motivations and applying these insights to product design.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Comfort with uncertainty and rapid iteration.
  • Creative, results-oriented self-starter who can quickly adapt to a changing environment.
  • Strong collaborator who enjoys working cross-functionally with product teams.
  • Experience working with both digital and analog workflows.
  • Ability to provide one’s own transportation to/from on-site meetings.


Desired Qualifications

  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Master’s degree in business administration.
  • Experience in regulated environments.
  • Experience with customer data architecture and digital platforms.
  • Experience leading pilots and managing customer-facing operations.
  • Experience building external partnerships.
  • Familiarity with B2C product and marketing dynamics.
  • Passion for climate tech, clean energy, or EV adoption.
  • Understanding of EV adoption, home electrification, or energy programs.
