Apply now

At KN Helicopters, we are proud to support the green transition by providing safe and efficient helicopter transport to offshore wind farms and associated installations. As demand for renewable energy grows, so does the need for highly motivated and skilled employees who thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment.

We are currently expanding our operations and looking for a Ground Operations Assistant in Grenaa to join our dedicated team in Denmark. If you are passionate about aviation and safety and would like to work in a dynamic helicopter environment - this could be your next opportunity.

About the Role:

Ground Operations is the backbone of KN Helicopters’ daily operations.

The Ground Operations team ensures that flights depart on time, that safety standards are always maintained at the highest level, and that customers receive a service they can trust. That is why we are looking for a colleague who thrives in a role with many interfaces and a high level of responsibility.

You will have a key position in the team, handling both practical and administrative tasks. You will act as the link between passengers, pilots, engineers, customers and external partners. Your role is essential to daily operations, and you can look forward to a job where no two days are the same.

If you do not live in Grenaa, accommodation will be provided for you.

This is a fixed-term position of approximately 6 months, from 15. of March 2026 to 30. of September 2026.

Your main tasks

As a Ground Operations Assistant, you will be part of a team that maintains an overall overview of all flights – both scheduled and ongoing operations. Your tasks will include, among others:

  • Coordination of bookings for upcoming flights and continuous flight watch of ongoing operations
  • Passenger handling, including check-in, safe transport to and from the helicopter, and control of baggage and equipment
  • Operational tasks such as loading, refuelling helicopters and maintaining the check-in area to ensure a professional appearance at all times
  • Communication via radio with helicopters and customers to ensure clear and accurate information exchange
  • Ad hoc practical and administrative tasks, as well as completion of tasks listed in daily, weekly, monthly and annual checklists

In short: You will be part of the team that ensures everything runs smoothly in connection with helicopter operations.

Who we are Looking for

You may already be working as a freight forwarder, offshore coordinator or traffic assistant. Alternatively, you may come from another role where logistics, coordination and customer contact are a natural part of your daily work.

Most importantly, you are able to remain calm and maintain an overview in fast-paced situations, and you thrive with varied tasks and working hours.

We imagine that you:

  • Have a natural sense of structure and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously without losing overview
  • Are fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
  • Are comfortable using IT systems and have good skills in Microsoft Office
  • Are independent, responsible and have a positive, cooperative mindset
  • Thrive in customer-facing roles and are able to create a good experience for both passengers and partners
  • Have strong drive, work in a solution-oriented manner and show persistence

We also value flexibility, as this is a workplace operating 365 days a year.

Flexible working hours

At KN Helicopters, you will have a flexible working arrangement that allows you to adapt your job to your lifestyle. Typically, you will work 12–14 days per month, corresponding to approximately 160–180 hours, distributed across shifts between 06:00 and 21:00. You can expect to work two weekends per month, and duty rosters are normally published two months in advance.

For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to continue employment after the fixed-term period as a Ground Operations Assistant in Thorsminde.

Why Join KN Helicopters?

  • Be part of a mission-driven company contributing directly to the green energy transition
  • Work in a dedicated team that values professionalism, adaptability, and collaboration
  • Be part of a strong team spirit in a dynamic and high-performing work environment
