Context


For one of our clients, we are looking for a Soil Specialist /Advisor. As a Soil Specialist/Advisor, you will work on a variety of soil studies that contribute to societal themes such as the energy transition, climate adaptation, and a healthy living environment. The focus is on sustainable soil utilization and the careful execution of preparatory studies. A fluent / native level in Dutch is mandatory for this assignement.


Responsibilities and Duties


Your duties will vary depending on your experience and current projects, considering :

  • Carrying out and reporting on historical preliminary research and soil investigations.
  • Prepare and coordinate field work.
  • Direct and coordinate with field workers, customers, contractors and other involved parties. Collaborate with specialists in archaeology, ecology, geotechnics and more.
  • Contribute to environmental management and preparation of quotations.
  • Thinking about digital solutions and optimising work processes.


You work on multidisciplinary projects such as: Soil investigation for the installation of cables and pipes or area development. Research for climate-adaptive measures or energy networks. Soil remediation and risk assessment at industrial sites.


Profile


  • A completed higher vocational or university education, preferably in environmental science, soil science, civil engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • You are independent, accurate and have strong communication skills.
  • You are good at connecting with diverse stakeholders and maintaining an overview in dynamic projects.
  • You have an excellent command of the Dutch language and can also express yourself well in English.
  • If you have an affinity for sustainability, digital tools, or innovative soil solutions, then that's a great plus.
