Product Manager (Services)
Company
Founded in Berlin, autarc is a ~40 person start-up who were part of Y Combinator’s S24 batch in San Francisco. Our team consists of people in Sales, Tech and Operations, with the Engineering & Product department currently ~20 people, as we continue to grow throughout the year.
Role Description
You'll own Product for our fastest-growing product area: Services. On top of their monthly subscription, our customers can book additional services through autarc — such as government subsidy applications (e.g. KfW), energy performance certificates, and more. This area is scaling rapidly and we're hiring a dedicated PM to match.
Your job is to figure out what services we should build next, ship them fast with engineering, and roll them out across Europe. That means new service types, new country rollouts (Italy, UK, France), and new workflows — often from zero to live in days, not weeks. We expect you to go all-in on AI-assisted tooling (Claude, Cursor) to prototype, spec, and even ship parts of features yourself.
Other things you'll do will include:
Requirements
Right now, 25% of CO2 emissions in Europe are caused by heating our buildings. In order for this to be reduced, the transition towards renewable energy needs to be simplified and made more accessible. There are too few installers to meet the growing demand for heat pumps, and a solution to match this trend needs to be brought to the market.
autarc is developing the leading operating system (OS) for heat pump installers, enabling a more digital and efficient installation process for heat pumps.
Through this, autarc is reducing the hurdles to decarbonizing single-family homes and small apartment buildings in Europe, with the goal to help with the planning and designing of 1 million heat pumps by 2030.

Other things you'll do will include:
- Own the Services roadmap end-to-end and prioritise ruthlessly with the founders
- Talk to installers weekly to understand subsidy, certification and admin pain points first-hand
- Map local regulations and partner requirements when launching services in new European markets
- Write crisp Linear tickets and PRDs that engineering can ship from on day one
- Partner closely with Design and Engineering to deliver features at speed
- Use AI tools to prototype workflows (document generation, form pre-filling, validation) before handing off to engineering
- Own commercial outcomes for Services: attach rate, revenue per customer, fulfilment margin
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, marketplaces, or ops-heavy products
- Track record of shipping fast in a 0→1 environment — you've launched new product areas, not just iterated on mature ones
- Strong written communication — you can write a PRD, a customer-facing changelog, and a Linear ticket with equal clarity
- Comfortable with ambiguity, regulation, and operational complexity (subsidies, certifications, government workflows don't scare you)
- Already using AI tools (Claude, Cursor) in your daily workflow, not just experimenting
- Commercial instinct — you think in attach rates, margins, and payback, not just NPS
- Berlin-based, hybrid 3 days in the office (Mitte)
- Fluent in English (German is a strong plus given customer and regulatory context)
- Experience in climate tech, energy, fintech, or another regulated B2B space
- Exposure to European market rollouts and localisation
- You've written code or shipped prototypes yourself
- Freedom to choose your own equipment (within a budget)
- 26 paid vacation days
- An annual team retreat
- The choice between Dance or JobRad for mobility
- The choice between Classpass or Urban Sports Club for fitness
- Regular team events, lunches and activities
- Screening call with Louis (Recruiter)
- Deep-dive conversation with Etienne (CEO)
- Practical case study
- Final on-site with the team
