About The Role

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As Portfolio Manager – Sustainable Investment Private Markets, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how sustainability is embedded across Australian Retirement Trust’s private markets portfolio, with a primary focus on infrastructure.

You’ll lead the integration of financially material sustainability risks and opportunities into investment decision‑making, manager selection, asset management and stewardship activities. Working closely with internal deal teams and external managers, you’ll help ensure long‑term, resilient investment outcomes that are firmly in the best financial interests of our members.

This role also contributes to broader private markets asset classes including real estate, private equity and private credit, while supporting ART’s Net Zero Roadmap and broader sustainable investment strategy.

Day To Day, You'll

  • Lead sustainable investment integration across infrastructure, embedding financially material sustainability risks and opportunities into due diligence, manager oversight and asset management.
  • Partner with investment and deal teams on direct and co‑investment opportunities, assessing how sustainability factors impact financial performance.
  • Engage external infrastructure managers and assets to drive sustainability‑led value creation aligned with ART’s expectations.
  • Integrate climate‑related requirements into infrastructure portfolios to strengthen resilience to physical and transition risks and support ART’s Net Zero ambitions.
  • Contribute to ESG data collection, analysis and insights, particularly across infrastructure, to support decision‑making and improved sustainable investment practices.
  • Report on the effectiveness of private market integration and stewardship activities, highlighting risks, challenges and recommendations.

This role is a permanent opportunity.

? Location: Sydney or Brisbane.
