Summary

An established Global Investment Management Firm is seeking an Investment Leader to drive renewable energy investments across South Korea, with a primary focus on solar energy opportunities.
The successful candidate will originate investment opportunities, lead acquisitions and project financings, execute transactions, and support portfolio growth across operating assets and development projects. This is a senior front-office investment role with significant responsibility for sourcing proprietary opportunities and leading transactions from origination through closing.
The role offers direct exposure to investment decision-making while working closely with an experienced international investment team.

Key Responsibilities
Deal Sourcing & Origination

• Source and evaluate renewable energy investment opportunities, with a primary focus on solar PV assets and development projects
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, financial sponsors, lenders, EPC contractors, advisors, and strategic partners
• Develop proprietary deal flow and identify attractive acquisition and partnership opportunities
• Conduct market analysis and monitor emerging investment themes across the Korean renewable energy sector

Investment Execution

• Lead financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and transaction structuring
• Execute acquisitions, joint ventures, equity investments, and project financings
• Coordinate negotiations with counterparties and external advisors
• Prepare investment recommendations for senior stakeholders and investment committees

Portfolio & Market Leadership

• Support portfolio management and value creation initiatives across existing investments
• Monitor regulatory developments, market trends, and competitive dynamics
• Represent the firm within the Korean renewable energy investment community

Candidate Profile

• Years of experience in renewable energy investing, infrastructure investing, project finance, M&A, investment banking, or principal investing
• Demonstrated experience sourcing and executing solar PV and renewable energy transactions in South Korea
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and transaction execution capabilities
• Ability to independently lead complex investment processes from origination through closing
• Native Korean and business-level English
